Keyur Patel

Keyur Patel is the Chairman and a cofounder of Fabrik. Keyur is a serial entrepreneur with a proven record of successfully identifying emerging market opportunities, starting companies and delivering software and services to customers. His visionary acuity and expertise in simplifying the user experience through the elegant application of complex technologies have made him a recognized thought leader in successive waves of technical innovation.

Prior to co-founding Fabrik, Keyur was the Head of Consumer Products and Chief Strategy Officer for Maxtor Corporation, a worldwide leader in data storage products. While at Maxtor, Keyur drove the vision for the Maxtor OneTouch and Maxtor Shared Storage retail product lines, which redefined the personal data storage market and accelerated adoption by simplifying storage expansion and data backup for non-technical consumers.

Prior to Maxtor, Keyur served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Inktomi Corporation where he guided the company's turn-around that led to profitability and, ultimately, its acquisition by Yahoo!. Before Inktomi, Keyur founded several highly successful companies including Brience, Metrius, Webvibe, and Phoenix Software. He also served as Chief Strategy Officer of KPMG Consulting Worldwide and as Managing Partner of the Price Waterhouse Technology Consulting Practice.

In addition to his role as Chairman and cofounder of Fabrik, Keyur is a partner at ComVentures, a leading venture capital firm in Silicon Valley. He also serves as a member of the board at India TV, HIP Digital, Nanocast Labs, Fabrik and Sonicwall (NASDAQ:snwl), and has co-author of Digital Transformation, fore worded by John Chambers.

Keyur holds a master's degree in computer engineering from Michigan and a bachelor's degree in computers and communication from India.
