Mike Williams is senior vice president and chief product officer of Fabrik. Leading technology innovation for more than 30 years, he has a wealth of experience delivering innovative consumer products to market, combined with a pioneering vision to make technology incredibly simple and easy to use. He is extremely well-attuned to anticipating emerging market needs, allowing Fabrik to differentiate its products and add real value for customers.
Prior to joining Fabrik, Mike was vice president and general manager of Maxtor's Branded Products Group where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's retail and branded products worldwide. This includes sales and marketing, engineering, product planning, operations and business development to ensure successful market execution of a variety of storage products – including the Maxtor OneTouch and Maxtor Shared Storage Solution – for home networks, emerging consumer applications and small business markets.
Mike also held the position of president and COO of Connex, where he defined and executed strategies for establishing new business units for Western Digital in emerging network storage markets. Before that, he was senior vice president of Western Digital's Enterprise Storage Group and served as vice president of engineering and storage systems at Adaptec.
In addition, Mike was among the founders of Ridge Technologies in 1997, where he built the engineering team, established key external partnerships and oversaw all product development. He also spent 10 years at Apple, holding several key engineering, management and procurement positions. He also held positions at Quantum Corporation and Shugart Associates.
Mike holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Illinois.
